ZAP在2021年用28天完成厦门绿发新时代广场的景观设计,包括其设计与施工整个过程。厦门绿发新时代广场,原名厦门邮电大厦、厦门国际中心,目前是厦门市和福建省的最高建筑物,其A塔高339.88米,与厦门岛内最高峰云顶岩(339.6米)几乎等高。ZAP completed the landscape design of Xiamen Lvfa Times New Square in 28 days in 2021, including its whole process of design and construction. Xiamen Lvfa New Times Square, formerly known as Xiamen Post and Telecommunications Building and Xiamen International Center, is currently the tallest building in Xiamen and Fujian Province, with its A-tower of 339.88 meters high, almost equal to the highest peak on Xiamen Island, Yunding Rock (339.6 meters).
作为城市最具代表性的街角一隅,因其面向市政界面上高达3米的竖向高差,该处街角与城市街道完全割裂开来,呈现出一种消极的公共空间状态。ZAP设计师面对的便是在短短28天的时间内,在不足8000平的景观场地内,焕新厦门市最重要的一处对外展示窗口,激活该街角的场所的景观价值,这基本是一项不可能完成的任务,充满了机遇与挑战。As the most representative corner of the city, the corner is completely cut off from the city streets due to the 3m vertical height difference on the interface facing Zhanhong North Road, presenting a negative public space landscape. This was an impossible task, full of opportunities and challenges.

↑ 城市街角的一块礁石/实景拍摄 视频来源:琢墨建筑摄影项目场地坐落于厦门市思明区,距离城市海岸码头不足500米距离,每当市民及游客们去到码头游玩,都会从项目街角经过。
当设计师第一次来到本场地,便不由地被厦门的海风海浪所吸引:喧嚣的海浪拍打着岸边高耸的礁石,激荡起阵阵浪花,这种激昂、坚韧而富有生命力的精神,恰恰正是厦门这个城市体现的精神风貌。因此,设计师们尝试用‘礁石“”这样一种极具城市代表性的设计元素融入至场地之中,通过各类景观实验性的手法,将石与其他介质相组合、碰撞,从而形成具有创新性的、力与美的景观组合。The project site is located on Zhanhong North Road near the coast of Xiamen, less than 500 meters away from the citys coastal pier, and whenever citizens and tourists go to the pier to enjoy themselves, they will pass by the project street corner.
When the designers first came to the site, they were attracted by the sea breeze and waves of Xiamen. The noisy waves lapping against the towering reefs on the shore and stirring up the waves. This kind of exciting, resilient and vital spirit is exactly the spirit embodied by the city of Xiamen. Therefore, the designers try to use reef, a very representative design element of Xiamen, into the site. Through various experimental landscape techniques, the combination of stone and other media collision, so as to form an innovative and unique landscape combination of force and beauty.

↑ 景观爆炸图LANDSCAPE EXPLOSION/示意图FINDING INSPIRATION FOR STONE场地中有过多平坦或斜坡的地方,并不具备吸引人的场所特质。因此在这样紧凑而带状的空间里面,设计师们不禁思考:如何在尽量保持原有风貌的同时,寻找场地中的灵感——石头。
石头是一种精神和生命的体现,不同的石头摆放方式和高低错落,会给人不同的精神感触。There are too many flat and sloping place in the site, and it is not a place with attraction. Therefore, inside such a compact and striped space, always try to keep the original look while how to find the inspiration in the site - the stone.

设计师通过石材与多重介质的玩转,在多维的空间中处理消化内外高差,打破原本相对孤僻、封闭的场地氛围,形成兼具展示性与互动性的街角绿化空间。
Through the play of stone and multiple media, the designers deal with the digestion of internal and external height difference in a multi-dimensional space, breaking the original relatively isolated and closed site atmosphere, forming a green space of urban street corner with both exhibition and interaction.
↑ 黑山石、绿星花岗岩、片岩相互堆叠的街角水景/实景图在城市街角的主视面,设计师尝试以石与石的堆叠来营造景观:通过竖向耸立的绿星花岗岩层层垒砌模拟海岸悬崖层峦叠嶂般的错落,特选的大型清远黑山石仿佛海上惊涛骇浪中的一颗礁石;水景由上方镜面水池中,于礁石的缝隙里一层层顺着片岩铺底的水径落下,再由片岩下方的泵坑集水输送至上方水池之中,形成水体的循环系统。Designers try to create a landscape by stacking rocks and stones in the main view of the urban street corner: the vertical towering chlorastrolite granite is built up in layers to simulate the staggering of coastal cliffs, and the specially selected large Qingyuan black mountain rocks are like a reef in the frightening waves of the sea; the waterscape comes from the mirror pool above, and falls down the water path at the bottom of the rocks in the gap of the reef, and then the water is collected by the pump pit below the rocks and transported to the pool above, forming a circulation system of the water body.
现场每一块石头都如同入口的特选黑山石一般,经历过设计师们的精心设计:在江西宜春的山峦间逐一挑选,再到江西南昌对每一块石头进行编号及场地落位;确定好的石头仍需要层层打磨:石头被集装运至福建水头用水刀进行分石切割,再运送到福建厦门在现场进行人工微修和整编;每一块石头设计师们都会根据其最终形态及现场实际场景一一进行落位指导,让每一块石头呈现出最完美融洽的场景效果。
正是通过这样步步考究的筛选,才有街角石与石堆叠出流淌的、飞溅的、活跃的亲人尺度水景水幕。Each stone of the site is like the specially selected black mountain stone of the entrance waterscape, which has been carefully designed by the designers: selected one by one in the mountains of Yichun, Jiangxi, then to Nanchang, Jiangxi, for each stone to be numbered and positioned one by one in the corresponding site; after the stone is determined, it still needs to be polished. Firstly, the stone will be transported to Shuitou, Fujian, for cutting with a water knife, and then to Xiamen, Fujian, for manual fine-tuning on site. Each piece of stone will be integrated according to its final state and the actual construction scene, so that each piece of stone presents the most perfect effect with the scene. It is through such careful screening step by step that the corner stones and stones are stacked to create a flowing, splashing, active water curtain of human scale.
潺潺的叠水中,更蕴含着设计师独具匠心的巧思:将石的劲道(Strength),江的永续(Sustainable),松的韧劲(Tenacity)转化为水幕之上的凝劲石、沧浪水、石间松,将“一山一水一青松”这样富于中国传统美好寓意的景观呈现给城市大众,吸引往来人流驻足,流连忘返。The gurgling water contains the designers ingenuity: the strength of the stone, the sustainability of the river, and the tenacity of the pine are transformed into the water curtain of the solid stone, the Canglang water, and the pine between the stones, presenting to the city public a landscape rich in traditional Chinese symbolism of "one mountain, one water, one pine" and attracting people to stop and linger.

绿星石是绿纤石星球状变种。为呈圆形放射状纤维状集合体,硬度为5-6,密度为3.1-3.5克/立方厘米。多用于室内外台阶、墙面、柱面等的装饰,以及用于做旱冰场地面,纪念碑、铭碑等。
Chlorastrolite is a variant of green fibrous stone. It is a rounded radial fibrous aggregate with a hardness of 5-6 and a density of 3.1-3.5 g/cm3. It is mostly used for decoration of indoor and outdoor steps, walls, columns, etc., as well as for roller rink floor, monuments and inscriptions.

每块石头都在不同的场景下展示出不同的表情。石头的边界以同种类石头相堆积,但在重要的靠近水的部分被水所吸收,显得更加柔美。当石头单个放置,周边的场景被虚化成为背景,以他的天然材料展现石头原有的粗犷。Each stone is showing a different expression in different sceneries. The imaginary lines of the stones are stacked with the same kind of stones, but the parts near the important and water are absorbed by the water to appear more flexible. When the stones are placed individually, fading the surrounding scene into the background, his natural material shows the original ruggedness of the stones.
在人行通道的主对景处,设计师尝试将不同面层与材质的石头相互融合,打造丰富竖向及视觉变化的多重对比融合式景观。
耸立的石材景墙采用自然面、菠萝面、斧剁面的芝麻黑花岗岩混拼,以同一石材的肌理对比形成独特的立面图案;光面的绿星花岗岩叠级水池与两侧手工打磨肌理的芝麻黑岩烧面花坛形成颜色与粗糙度上的对比;野趣的黑山石置石与精致打造的水景墙之间则是发生自然与人工的对比。在这种种的对比中,多重石材又妥帖地融合为一体,浑然天成。At the main counterpoint of the pedestrian passage, the designers try to blend stones of different surfaces and materials to create a multi-contrast fusion landscape rich in vertical and visual changes.
The towering stone landscape wall adopts a mixture of natural, pineapple and axe face sesame black granite, forming a unique landscape wall pattern by contrasting the texture of the same stone; the glossy chlorastrolite granite stacked pool and the hand-polished texture of sesame black rock burnt surface flower beds on both sides form a contrast in color and roughness; the natural and artificial style contrast between the wild black mountain stone placement and the exquisitely crafted water landscape wall. In all these contrasts, the multiple stones are properly integrated into one: a perfect harmony.

CONTINUITY:STONE AND WATER
↑改造前后对比/实景图 照片来源:ZAP与琢墨建筑摄影从街角的礁石叠水开始到多重石材的跌水景墙间,整条线型过道空间以逐渐收窄的线型镜面水相串联,黑山石的礁石元素也与水景一样,连绵穿插在整条水线之间,串联起整个场地空间。Starting from the reef stacked water at the corner to the multiple stone plunge walls, the whole linear aisle space is linked by a gradually narrowing linear schist base of mirrored water, and the black mountain stone reef elements are interspersed with the waterscape, linking the whole site space.

如果说石材的气质是坚韧与厚重的,那么金属的性格便是刚毅和高冷的,这两种材质在景观中往往都具有极高的可塑性,碰撞在一起时既冲突又融洽。设计师们便是利用这两种全然不同材质间的相互组合,形成冲击性的硬性肌理区分,再辅以软性的水景及多重质感的绿植,打造更具趣味性的竖向视觉变化。If the temperament of stone is tough and heavy, then the character of metal is tough and cold. These two materials often have a high plasticity in the landscape, when colliding together both conflict and harmony. Designers use the combination of these two completely different materials to form an impactful hard texture distinction to forming an impactful hard muscle distinction. And designers supplement them by soft water features and multiple textures of greenery to create a more interesting vertical visual change together.

OTHER EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES除对石头的变化研究外,设计师也尝试过用参数化的方式在场地空白的草坪上以造型式组合花钵来打造景观,形成具有展示性与时效性的景观装置组合。设计以当地特色的三角梅造型为切入,演替形成多模块组合花钵,与场地原有地形相结合形成雕塑感的植物景观。
In addition to the study of stone changes, the designer has also tried to use a parametric approach to create a paradigmatic combination of stylized modular planters on the blank lawn of the site to create a landscape display of a time-sensitive landscape installation. The design takes the local characteristics of trillium as the entry point to form a variety of modular combination of planters, combined with the original landscape topography of the site to form a sculptural sense of plant landscape.

Due to the special location of the project, the site is not only a pure exhibition space, but also a public green space of the city. Therefore, in a short period of 28 days, apart from the design itself, the designers were required to think about how to break the large height difference space which was originally separated from the urban interface and harmonize the sites atmosphere and style with the surrounding urban environment.

↑改造前后对比/实景图 照片来源:ZAP与琢墨建筑摄影为此,设计师重建市政人行道旁原本直立的挡墙,以岩壁般高低错落的绿化种植池软化竖向界面,用植物软景由内至外的衔接起场地与市政景观;抽析场地边界绿化带内茂密的中层植物,选用分支点高的上层乔木,将人的视线由外至内的引导向展示空间。通过石头与软景等手法,激活原本独立的街角空间,将街角绿地真正的融入到城市流动的脉络之中。
Therefore, designers reconstruct the original upright retaining wall space next to the municipal sidewalk, softened the vertical interface with rock-like green planting pools, and connected the site with the municipal landscape from inside to outside with plant soft landscapes; extracted the dense middle layer plants in the green belt of the site boundary, and selected the upper layer trees with high branching points to guide peoples eyes to the display space from outside to inside. Through stones and soft landscape, the original independent street corner space is activated, and the street corner green space is truly integrated into the flowing pulse of the city.
