Three independent walls create an art space

仅利用墙体如何能打造多个艺术空间，从而达到舒适的体验呢?设计者尝试探索墙体如何对建筑的整体美学和功能作出贡献，并在本项目中展示了对于墙体在空间塑造和融合自然的创新利用。墙体花园是RAD+ar事务所对于墙壁这一元素在当代建筑实践中不断变化的意义和角色进行的探索与反思项目。

How can multiple art spaces be created using only walls to achieve a comfortable experience? The designer tried to explore how walls can contribute to the overall aesthetics and function of the building, and in this project demonstrated the role of walls in space shaping and Integrating innovative uses of nature. Wall Garden is an exploration and reflection project by RAD+ar on the changing meaning and role of the wall in contemporary architectural practice.

最初设计目的是想要创造一个仅具有墙体等基本建筑元素的商业空间。于是设计师在场地正中央画了3条斜线，这三条斜线具有相同高度并且各自独立。其形态流线柔美，利用郁郁葱葱的树木作为穿插形成蜿蜒的流动形态。

The initial design intention was to create a commercial space with only basic architectural elements such as walls. So the designer drew three diagonal lines in the center of the site. These three diagonal lines have the same height and are independent. Its shape is streamlined and graceful, using lush trees as intersperses to form a meandering flowing form.

设计打造三个空间：倒影入口花园、后院花园和创意圆形剧场，室内空调区域作为一处的独立空间。墙体的立面将圆形剧场和花园后院在视觉上相连，与“跳舞”的结构墙相得益彰，提升艺术空间的整体美观和功能。

The design creates three spaces: a reflective entrance garden, a backyard garden and a creative amphitheater, with the indoor air-conditioned area serving as an independent space. The walls façade visually connects the amphitheater to the garden backyard, complementing the "dancing" structural wall and enhancing the overall beauty and functionality of the art space.

打造建筑空间本身不是目的，因为建筑空间本身是一个独立的个体且具有社会价值，并始终与环境相辅相成。因此，设计的目标是将内部和外部交织在一起，与环境建立一个真正的联系，同时追求独特的设计和以人文本的舒适度。只有实现这一点，才能满足当今人们的高期望，对他们来说，美好的外观和舒适的体验才愿为其“买单”。

Creating a building is not an end in itself, since a building has social value in itself and is never an independent entity but always complementary to its environment. Therefore, the design goal was to interweave the interior and exterior, creating a real connection with the environment, while pursuing unique design and humanistic comfort. only by achieving this can we meet the high expectations of todays people, who are willing to "pay" for a beautiful appearance and a comfortable experience.

利用墙体孔隙回收再利用水资源
Using wall pores to recycle water resources

Another issue addressed by this project is to help students and community members rediscover their history and educate them on sustainable organic farming practices. A century ago, the original site of the rooftop farm was a rice plantation. With the expansion of Bangkok, the rice fields were flattened, but through this project, rice production returned in modern form. Through volunteer service, 40000 students and nearby residents learned how to plant and harvest this cultural landscape heritage.

设计者还打造了许多相互对抗的截面空间以形成对比关系。与许多其它实验性的Tanatap商业花园设计一样，本项目选择将一处在紧凑的商业区中的旧停车场改造为一个商业花园，利用其特殊的位置来证明一个观点：无论宏观环境挑战如何，被动式低能耗的商业花园在热带发展中国家认识可以实现并且有利可图的。

Tanatap Wall Coffee Garden is designed to give people the opportunity to experience nature up close while providing uniquely designed architecture and comfort. These walls are matched in the simplest and most comfortable way, combining ecological value, comfort and post-modern design to create a unique natural experience for people.

墙体单元的排列是富有诗意的，其结构的形状和位置都是经过精心设计，无论白天还是夜晚都能呈现出独特的美感，并以最灵动简单的结构系统创造出动态的形状。伟大的艺术可以是灵活且具有变革性的，用鲜活的光影丰富我们的生活，从而带领我们去从未知道的地方。

The arrangement of the wall units is poetic, and the shape and position of the structure are carefully designed to present a unique aesthetic whether day or night, and create dynamic shapes with the most flexible and simple structural system. Great art can be flexible and transformative, enriching our lives with living light and shadow, taking us to places we have never known.

Tanatap墙体咖啡花园的设计目的是让人们有机会近距离体验自然，同时提供独特设计的建筑和舒适感。这些墙体搭配运用最简单舒适的方式，结合了生态价值、舒适度和后现代设计，为人们打造独特的自然体验。

新的咖啡花园将成为当地人的公共客厅，这里为每个热爱音乐和表演的人提供舞台，从而打造一个致力于培养好奇心、知识和创造力的空间。在印度尼西亚等发展中国家，该设计致力于在其开放式剧院商业花园中容纳音乐和表演创意社区。

The new coffee garden will become a communal living room for locals, providing a stage for everyone who loves music and performance, creating a space dedicated to nurturing curiosity, knowledge and creativity. In developing countries such as Indonesia, the design strives to accommodate the musical and performance creative community within its open theater commercial gardens.
